Thanks to my dear friend and (retired) General Motors Executive John Blanchard, my band Solid State was able to perform at the Rockin On The Riverfront Concert Series, sponsored by Chevrolet, for nine consecutive years. This event took place outdoors in downtown Detroit, behind the Renaissance Center (General Motors' Headquarters) next to the Detroit River. It was a truly spectacular event and a huge honor for the band to be an integral part of the event for so many years. We had the distinct pleasure of performing 60-minute, warm-up sets of cover songs for the following artists: Mickey Thomas & Starship (twice), Leon Russell, Blue Oyster Cult, Three Dog Night, Loverboy, The Doobie Brothers, Eddie Money & Michael McDonald.

I also want to acknowledge Debbie Hoge & Natasha Kosivzoff from GM, Kevin Cassidy & Joe Nieport from Fun Fest Productions, Doug Podell and the other wonderful DJ's from WCSX who helped sponsor the event.
